History
IncludingAllKids.org is hosted by Kids Included Together and sponsored by Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, to serve as a gateway to inclusion resources and information.
Originally developed by Easter Seals, IncludingAllKids.org was created as part of the Inclusion Initiative sponsored by the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, which began in 2003. The Inclusion Initiative was launched with the goal of increasing inclusion of young people with disabilities in community youth organizations.
In 2007, MEAF formed the Inclusion Task Force, which brought representatives from community-based and national organizations serving youth and people with disabilities, as well as from universities, foundations and the public sector together to help expand the impact of the Inclusion Initiative. To date, the Initiative has seen nearly $6 million in grants and leveraged funds invested in two dozen youth programs across the US, impacting the lives of thousands of youth with and without disabilities.
The Inclusion Task Force created and disseminated the Paths to Inclusion publication in 2008 and updated IncludingAllKids.org to serve as a resource guide for fully including youth of all abilities in community life.
